The southern Kalahari is known for its diverse habitats

There are limited swathes of undisturbed arid savannah left in Africa. Tswalu is one of the largest, relatively undisturbed, remaining arid savannahs on the continent. The reserve’s iconic ochre dunes, covered in grasses, are interrupted by the Korannaberg mountains that contribute to greater habitat diversity than anywhere else in the Kalahari. With habitat diversity comes wildlife diversity.
