Research-based conservation through the Tswalu Foundation

The Tswalu Foundation exists primarily to support ecological research on the reserve. Over the years, it has grown into a world leader in the field of environmental research grounded in the southern Kalahari. Research projects on the reserve all fall within one or more of the three core themes identified by the Tswalu Foundation, namely Conservation Biology, Climate Change and Anthropogenic Factors.
