Tucked into a secluded valley below the Korannaberg mountains, Tarkuni is Tswalu’s exclusive-use private homestead, with accommodation for up to 10 guests across five spacious suites, all under one roof. Tarkuni has been carefully refurbished to sharpen what was already intimate and unhurried. Flow between spaces, guest privacy and flexibility have been refined, without disturbing the connection to the landscape and the character that have always defined it.

For the duration of your stay, the homestead is yours. A dedicated house manager and private chef take care of every detail, from dining to safari. A private 4×4 vehicle, guide and tracker are on hand whenever you’re ready to head out.

The suites lead off a central living area anchored by a double-sided fireplace, with a mezzanine lounge above offering a deeply comfortable space for connection or time apart. Shaded verandas, an outdoor fire pit overlooking a waterhole, and a private boma for barbecue dinners under the stars give the days their natural rhythm. A tsala set apart from the main homestead offers a quieter moment between activities, ideal for birding, reading, or an outdoor massage. For restoration of a different kind, the indoor spa treatment room is available at any time.
