Dining at Tswalu celebrates our cultural diversity and is rooted in seasonality, and local heritage and provenance. Food, from what we serve to where we source it, is an integral part of our regenerative vision to leave the world better than we found it. With every recipe and every menu, our chefs are continually adding to the culinary story of South Africa and the southern Kalahari, in particular. South Africa’s richly layered food heritage is both honoured and reinvented at Tswalu.
Creating a refined, seasonal dining experience in the middle of a vast reserve in a remote part of South Africa requires resourcefulness and collaboration, as well as creativity and team work. Almost everything in our kitchens is made from scratch. We are proud of the pioneering, sustainable food culture our chefs have developed – championing the best of the region on every plate.
